I'm Tad, the TCB in TCB, and I've been breaking things since early childhood. Since I play so rough with my toys I often have to make my own, and while working as a bike messenger made a porteur rack to keep the heavy stuff off my back. I have been using it now for over four years, carrying all manner of things from groceries to girlfriends to giant stacks of legal documents to my welding supplies. It hasn't shown the slightest sign of stress, even under loadings where I had to have a friend hold down the rear of the bike in order for me to mount it. I'm now proud to offer this design, as well as lighter utility models and custom racks, to the general public. I am also studying mechanical engineering, so now I can even check my own work.
